Pancakes

Vegan isn’t as bad as they make out to be. When I thought of making the change, my body and brain freaked out and I went into panic mode and thought I was going to starve because I couldn’t eat anything. (true story)
Then I thought to myself how stupid are you, most of the food you’ve been consuming since you were a little girl is, Vegan!
Anyway so my brother does like all things sweet, and he too is a Vegan. So now and then I go out of my way to find Dessert recipes I could tweak. I’m not big on Sweet but don’t mind it now and then as long as it isn’t too Sweet that it ends up breaking your jaw.

The What:

  • 1 Cup Plain Flour
  • 1 Cup Almond Milk (if the Milk you’re using is thin in consistency then opt for using a little less Milk)
  • 1 Tsp Baking Powder
  • 2 Tbsp Sugar
  • Oil/Butter (optional)

Flavour Boosters

  • Chopped Berries or Fruit
  • Grated Coconut
  • Peanut Butter
  • Chocolate Chips

The How:

  • Mix everything in a bowl until you have a thick consistancy.
  • Place a Pan on heat.
  • If your Pan is Non-Stick, you may not need Oil, however if it isn’t Non-Stick then spread a little Oil/Butter in the Pan.
  • Once the Oil/Butter has heated up, placed a heaped spoon of Batter into the Pan, let it cook for about a minute of so, then flip it over and let it cook on the other side.
  • Pancakes are ready!

They’re ready to Eat, Share and Enjoy.

Serve with Ice Cream or Maple Syrup.
